THE COMPILATIONS ERA

Many projects were released during this era, much of which included unreleased material from prior periods.

Prick Flair oversaw the release of “The Lost Sessions” with himself and Klassic. This was a remix album that featured Prick Flair adding new verses to previously released songs by Klassic. It also contained several previously unreleased tracks. This was the first release from NuSounds since 2014; however, Prick Flair was still actively releasing music independently of NSG.

“Phase One: 2011-2017” is released. Now taking on the last name “Kloudhead,” Klassic Kloudhead made a semi-return to music with this compilation album. The majority of this album is a “best of,” with Klassic selecting some of his favorite songs he’s released over the years. The album then closes with three brand new songs, marking the first new music from Klassic since 2014.

During this period, Klassic Kloudhead released a six-tape series entitled “Look What I Found! Vol. 1-6.” These compilation albums feature a lot of material from the early years of Klassic’s time making music, with some songs dating back as far as 2007. The series includes some of Klassic’s first songs ever recorded and previously unheard tracks from the Infinite Records period and early stages of NuSounds Global.

Prior to his time rapping, Klassic was an experimental instrumental producer in the mid-2000s. Many of those songs remained unreleased until this series. Klassic returned to those instrumental roots and began producing new songs in early 2018. Some of those new tracks were scattered throughout the six albums. Notably, Vol. 3 is the first Klassic album of all-new material since 2012’s “Tolerance Break,” as it’s composed solely of tracks from the 2018 sessions. This series served as somewhat of another semi-return to music for Klassic, though he wouldn’t return full-time for several more years.
